This week, The Villages community lost an icon.
Don Hahnfeldt passed away on Christmas Eve at the age of 73 after a battle with cancer.
Don was a military veteran, and served The Villages community in various roles, including 3-terms as VHA president.
At the time of his passing, Don was serving in the Florida House of Representatives.

Another recent passing to make note of is that of Donald Goldstein, who was eulogized at a memorial service this week at Eisenhower Recreation Center. Considered to be one of the nation’s top military historians, Don will be buried at Arlington National Cemetery. Read more about his amazing life at Villages-News
