Villagers’ love for the holidays knows no end.
Through this weekend, The Villages Model Railroad Club is having their 12th annual Christmas Train Show at Colony Cottage Recreation Center.
The epitome of the maxim measure twice, cut once, club members say it takes all year to plan the display and just one day to set it up.

Also this weekend, go check out the amazing classic cars from 1980 and older at the Christmas Cruise-In Classic Car Show on Saturday from 4-9pm at Spanish Springs Town Square.
Everyone is encouraged to bring an unwrapped toy to benefit underprivileged children in the Tri-County Area this holiday season. All toys and monetary donations collected at the event will be distributed by The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.
The event will also feature Scooter The DJ from 4 – 9pm & Special Holiday Performances by:
The Villages Pops Chorus at 4pm
The MadriGals & Guys Singers at 5pm
The Villages Gem Stone Dancers at 6pm
Clown Alley #179 Strolling from 6 – 8pm
Last but not least, visit with Mr. & Mrs. Santa & his elves from 4 – 7pm
Of course there will be food vendors and the bar kiosks will be open. There will also be a 50/50 chance drawing to benefit underprivileged children and their families in the Tri-County Area this holiday season.

Operation Shoebox is a national organization with local roots that collects, packs, and ships care packages to our troops overseas.
